General overview:
Fednav International Ltd. implemented the full suite of Veson Nautical’s IMOS* shipping software application in 2010 and is now looking for a Project Coordinator who will assist the IMOS Project Manager in the day-to-day management of the IMOS software.
IMOS*: IMOS (Integrated Maritime Operation Software) is a shipping application developed by Veson Nautical inBoston.

It creates a streamlined interaction between chartering, operations, and accounting.

Primary Duties:
The main tasks will be answering IMOS users’ questions, identifying training needs, and communicating with the software provider; Veson Nautical. Knowledge of the present processes, identifying issues and finding solutions will also be one of the goals of this position.
Responsibilities:
Listen, investigate and respond to any questions that IMOS users may have in order to perform their daily tasks. Communicate with colleagues with tact and diplomacy at all levels of the organization as well as with the software providers.
- Troubleshoot complex problems
- Train users on the full potential of IMOS
- Contact and follow up with Veson Nautical for support, issue tracking, and solutions
- Develop and maintain reports in IMOS (Ad-hoc) at users request or pro-actively
- Coordinate testing of each IMOS release with the departments’ super users
- Keep abreast of IMOS developments/implementations
- Create statistical reports as required by all departments
Functional Requirements:
- Knowledge of the shipping industry, more specifically, business processes (Chartering, Operations, Accounting) for the bulk market is a plus
Technical Requirements:
- Experience with Veson Nautical IMOS (or another enterprise commercial maritime or financial application) is a plus
- Exposure to relational database management systems
- Knowledge of MS Office

- Quick learner
- Proficient English skills (oral and written), French is considered an asset
